The Atlanta History Center, a cultural and educational hub, recently sought to enhance the safety and functionality of their children’s areas. These spaces, dedicated to climbing and toddler activities, required a flooring solution that would protect young visitors while maintaining a polished, seamless aesthetic. • Under-Sheet Vinyl Installation: The SmartCells flooring was seamlessly installed beneath sheet vinyl, providing a smooth finish while maintaining the cushioning and fall protection benefits.
• Custom Curved Corners: To meet the client’s aesthetic and functional requirements, SmartCells engineered custom curved corners for both the flooring shapes and the transition ramps. This design not only enhanced the visual appeal but also eliminated sharp edges, making the environment safer for children.
• ADA-Compliant Ramps: Two separate areas were equipped with 258 linear ft. of 12-inch ADA-accessible transition ramps, ensuring inclusive access for all visitors.
