Long Term Care

My mother, Sheelagh, has been living in a Verve facility in Richmond BC since September 2009. She has had a terrific experience, and as a 92-year-old veteran she is now ready to move to a higher level of care. She had two falls several years ago within 6 months of each other. These falls occurred in her suite and resulted in a broken hip, wrist and tibia plateau. After the second fall I started looking for preventative solutions. I found SmartCells flooring. At my own cost I had this flooring underlay installed in her unit. Although she has fallen since then onto the SmartCells she has not yet broken anything else. It appears to be a remarkable product. This would make a great addition to anyone’s facility. It would be a real competitive advantage to facilities who use it. I know residents fall on a regular basis and this has significant consequences in suffering, cost and post injury health.

I love the SmartCells anti-slip flooring. I installed it myself in my shower. I sent in my measurements and the company made sure each tile fit perfectly. It is comfortable on my feet, the water and soap drain right through drainage holes in each tile and it is easy to clean. I feel safe and secure in my shower now with this cushioned, anti-slip surface. It is a great product.

My brother has fallen twice and the floor really works. He feels much more secure now because he knows that if he falls, he will be okay. Everybody also loves the way the floor feels underfoot. We praise the SmartCells floor to everybody we see!
