In fact, from DOD Pharmacies & TSA checkpoints to custom USCG Cutter installations & insoles for troops, SATECH, Inc. has partnered with a variety of US government entities to implement SmartCells Anti-fatigue solutions.
One of the primary government entities we have partnered with to implement SmartCells Anti-fatigue flooring solutions for personnel is the Air Force. Our SmartCells can be found most commonly in their labs or pharmacies due to custom formulations that can be adjusted to meet their specifications.
This particular installation was completed in December 2018 at Hurlburt Air Force Base medical lab located in Orlando, FL. SATECH was contracted to install 600 square feet of grey 1” SmartCells Anti-fatigue tile with a poly flecking surface coating on top anda 12” wide transition at all walk off areas to reduce tripping hazards. An installation this size often requires custom cutting and configuration which is why the Air Force relies on SATECH’s expertise.
Once the platform tiles and the transition were installed, a full seam seal coating was applied over the top of the entire area to keep liquids, fluids, and debris from getting underneath the anti-fatigue flooring.
The installation turned out great and the employees with Hurlburt Air Force Base were very pleased with the finished result.
